Interior
But even if they didn't do it the way we want, it still is a Corvette and people will buy them for just that reason...To own one of America's Greatest Sports Cars!
I'd forgotten about the membrane switches. Just awesome. They stay clean, too. It's hard to beat synthetic rubber for a satisfying tactile experience.
The A-pillars, windshield top, and dash are wrapped with synthetic material. I like it a lot.
Brushed aluminum will look SO dated. Of course, so will the plastic in C5's interior, if only because nobody does interiors like that anymore. But at least it won't be irrevocably pinned to a particular decade. It'll be timelessly cheap ;)

I'd hafta say that Corvette could use a lot more accent pieces with some darn contrast in lieu of pure black.
Just check out "ANY" of the CF members mods to the interior ~ it's always an improvement.
Color matched painted, aluminum, or whatever ~ I just hope :chevy Corvettes in the future have some contrast...... :seeya
I like the membrane switches on the doors. They're water-proof, they feel good, and they're functional. Same with the DIC switches and TC/AH button.
I don't want wood and I don't want brushed aluminium. They're overly trendy, ugly, and will seriously date the interior in a few years."
