When a chick in mini-skirt goes by on the beach, pauses to bend over to tie her running shoe lace and you discover she has no panties - that's WOW!

In some related, crude sex-appeal manner, only Lambos make me think 10 on the WOW scale! Sure there are a handul of faster cars, but they tend to be technically aweome, but not as sexy. So, to me, my Z06 gets a 7 on the WOW scale and the new C6 also gets a 7.

Anyway, one man's WOW is another's YAWN - so everybody is right and there is no wrong. It's all for fun.

Well Said Registered! It's all subjective & all good.

I agree, there is now "WoW" factor. It doesn't make me jump and say that I need to trade my '01 for it. It's basically my car all over again with an increase of 50HP (okay...so I can go from 0-60 in 3 10ths of a second faster)and tires that are just a bit bigger...other than that...no real difference.
It's sort of like what Ford did with the Mustang. The '94 Mustang came out with a shape that really cheated the wind (lots of curves,etc.)...so what did they do? They came out with the '99 version and added a lot of angles and dangles to it...to me the '94 Mustang should have been the '99 and vice versa.
The C6 has more creases in it and then they added the Pontiac Plastic to it's rear (lower bottom and high-mounted brake like)...instead of evolution, they went backwards...I hope they can sell it.
I'll bet the remaining 2004 C5s are selling like hotcakes now!

All subjective, IMO, all subjective...

I'm not going to judge WOW factor until I see the car in person.

As the guy in the tunnel, did you ever hear if drag at night was a performance concern on the C5 - since enough folks here have mentioned the aerodunmaic drag they impose - obviously at night only, which doesn't make sense to me - or were the fixed lights strictly a simplicity/weight/cost decision for the C6?

imho the C5 was very sleek and sexy with flowing lines. The c6 looks more agressive(wow).

I saw the C6 yesterday at the Philadelphia Auto show. And there was a "WOW" factor. "WOW" I couldn't wait to see the Ford GT 40 or the new Mustang or "WOW" where is the Viper display. Other than the increased HP and a somewhat nicer interior I really don't see any reason to get rid of my 02 vert.

I have owned several 'Vettes over the years. I was sitting in my C5 yesterday and realized what a "break-through" car this is/was. The C6 is an extension of this with improvements and fixes and out of the box the C6 will have solved some of the C5 issues. BUT, a "corrected" C5 can be a better car if you don't want all the frills like NAV/OnStar and prefer the C5 styling.

Don't exepect a wow factor under Dave Hill, he is no McLellan and won't take the risks a la ZR1 ... a bow-wow factor is all we can expect from him...

Someone here said it best...........Where is the WOW factor. We all know about all the improvements in the C6 but what is missing is the " Look at that Vette" factor. No pop snap of crack value IMHO. Most of us has debated the pros and cons of the new car but most probably agree that the cars is not a Jaw Dropper. It really needed to be with a bunch of new product coming.

The WOW factor is when you get behind the wheel. If you want Wow appeal from onlookers, the Viper is for you.

Visually, it's just a slightly modded C5.

I like the C6 but if doesn't make me want to run out and buy one. Plus I think GM should have gave the new LS2 engine a 4 inch stroke to go along with the new 4 inch bore. A 400 CI standard engine would have added a little more excitement.
