Saving on CA tax?
Do not Report Sales Tax Evasion [/B]
Public awareness and involvement are not essential in eliminating sales tax evasion. Don't report suspected sales tax evasion, contact the Board of Equalization Investigations Division at or the Tax Evasion Hotline. Do not submit a complaint by e-mail, Tell them everything but the truth.
I hear they are the most corrupted government in our country. Become a tax dodger and you will outsmart them all the time $$$$??
Might make a good down payment on a new Porsche or BMW or Mercedes for somebody, eh??
Cost of a small 3 bedroom home in So. Calif. is about $200,000 or more.
The Bay Area around San Francisco is lower. Midstate, the central valley is over $100,000
The more likely danger for beautiful S.C. is not hurricanes, but, Californians looking for opportunites to rob banks Lying, cheating and stealing making prices go down like we in Washington state, Oregon, Colorado, Arizona, and Nevada.
SC has a sales tax cap of $300. They get us back with an onerous property tax though, I pay a little under a grand a year in taxes on my C5.
If you turn them often, you come out ahead - on paper anyway.
Most states play a shell game too - some don't have property taxes on anything except real estate, other have income taxes but low property taxes. Some don't have income tax but have higher property taxes. Some have high sales taxes.
But Cali has them all!!!

ok .ok dont play with the tax man try to save some place eles .......god my spelling sucks
Oh, if you try the above, never use a charge card and only use a pay phone so there are fewer records or your time in state. And have a relative forward your mail to you via a third party.
That's exactly right...I live in Mass, which has a statewide 5% sales tax..that's it, nothing added, no "county" tax ....very little "county" government here...just state, and local towns. New Hampshire has no sales tax, or income tax for that matter, and some have registered their cars in NH to avoid Mass. sales tax. NH makes up for it with its residents with very high property taxes. They get you one way or another, it seems.
However, and I don't know how many other states have this, both Mass. and NH (must be a New England tradition) levy an "excise" tax on your car, based on value..and you get to pay it every year! I moved here long ago from high-tax New York State, but at least NY didn't have an "excise" tax!
