Safety Car
I just noticed a discount tire ad at the bottom of the screen on corvette forum, does that mean they are a vendor on here? If so i'd be glad to post the phone number and extension tot he gentleman that took care of me.

I've put approx. 2500 miles including 5 track days on my NT-05s. They were 7/32" tread depth when new and are now about 3/32". They drive a little different than the GYFRs and took some getting used to at first, but I like 'em much better on the street. The squeal when corning hard at the track (compared to the GYs) surprised me at first, but the -05s seem to have maintained pretty consistent grip so far. Depending on what's available this summer, I'll probably get another set when the time comes.

Put a set of NT05's on my '07 Z last week. 335 rear, 275 front. Early results after 500 miles, WAY less road noise that GY's, I'd say 75% less or so. Definitely much softer ride, feels a little "squishy" going into a corner compared to GY, but not enough where you don't trust it. Much better traction than the GY's when they're in perfect shape, IMO. 1st gear will break loose if you hammer it, but 2nd/3rd can go WOT without worry, no wiggly rear-end getting on the highway. Also definitely has the "barnyard smell" everyone else reports in the garage. Hopefully that will go away in a few weeks. I'll post again with some mileage/wear results in a few months.
