I stick with mobil 1 or K&N.. same filter. Don't trust any GM filters. Friend is a parts rep and knows what's inside the GM filters and who makes them. So ask me why. If I had a third choice it would be Wix.

I will never use another K&N oil filter. I've used them for years without any problems until earlier this year. Installed a K&N oil filter on my 2013 Accord and after about a month I noticed some drops of oil under my car. I jacked the car up to find the underneath of my car from the oil filter to the back of the car covered in a film of oil. I noticed the bottom of the K&N filter had oil on it. Long story short after wiping down the filter and checking underneath the car periodically I kept having oil showing around the welded nut. Seems like the spot weld caused the leak. Will not take the chance of the underside of my Z06 being covered, so unless K&N loses the nut on the bottom I will not use another one. Look up leaking K&N oil filter and you'll find plenty of cases of this. I'll stick with Mobil 1 for now.

I've been using the Mobil 1 synthetic oil filter (M1-113) since I purchased my Z new in '09.

The UPF48R's I bought from Cultrag look to still be top quality filters.
