The Porsche engineers are masters!
Being able to get that performance on a track with a rear engine car, amazing.
I still believe the ZR1 is still the king for the ratio price/performance but ... that's it. Overall, Porsche is the King of the Hill, unfortunately, I can't afford this masterpiece.
They are able to buid an 3.6 l engine that produces 620 HP ... and this engine is more fuel efficient than the GT2. And this car weight just over 3,000!!!!

If Chevy had a target price of $250K for a special version Corvette, you can bet it would compete with the best of them performance wise and the quality of materials (interior) would have an added budget...

If money was not a matter, I would get Lambo, Ferrari or Porsche GT2 RS or something else .... but I have to come back on earth and I consider myself privileged to afford a ZR1.

Just calling it like I see it.
To call one group of engineers masters and the other car a "bang for the buck"... "and that's it", is pretty hypocritical. No?
I'd love to see the ZR1 with a set of similar tires as the new GT2 runs. The GT2 would be hard pressed to take out the ZR1.

I hear you, but if I am putting this kind of money down and going italian I am going all the way not 3/4...Ferrari 458 Italia would be it.

This is one amazing car, props to Porsche unleashing this one. IMO the competition from Corvette and the recent GTR have really made Porsche raise the hp bar for their cars. 911's were in the 300-400hp range for along time and now it seems near 100hp jumps are being seen every couple years from them.
C7 is gonna have to pack some serious heat........
