So $25k isn't accurate, so lets say it's $100,000 since a new engine is $200k.
I'm not sure the cost, but if the guy has the money to race a million dollar car, I'm sure that he's upset about losing the motor, but he's probably already resolved himself to this being an expensive venture long before dropping a valve.
I think the cost involved with body parts is considerably higher than engine work. I'm not sure what exactly is unique about the parts in an Enzo motor, as I'm guessing that there are other motors that share common parts, but when it comes to body panels, there are no other sources for body panels other than Ferrari.
That's all I was getting at. It's like the cost of changing brakes and tires when racing any car, it comes with the cost of doing business.
