90-DLG is in stock here at my local stores. I've been wanting to buy a replacement before my factory battery dies (original from 06). Probably will buy this week.
EDIT: Picking up tomorrow.
Does anyone know where I can get dragon clips? I do not want to lose my settings with a battery swap. Does autozone do installs with these clips?

I recently had the oem delco crap out...but mine is an '06, so not too bad. I searched around, and came to find NAPA has a nice replacement, and it has a built-in handle.
Given the slight difficulty in removing the oem battery, when I came across this unit it was an immediate sale!!! At my local store it was $104, plus trade in the original, otherwise $10 core charge FWIW

Apparently, Costco no longer carries the correct battery. Mine took a crap after only 2 weeks of sitting. I had it for about 6 months? They let me return it with no questions asked. But I don't know what dimensions I should consider if I buy another battery from them. They have a weird system.
Guess I need to start using the battery tender or buy that safety limter thing you can bridge it with.

I want to try the Costco battery again, because they are cheap and have a killer return policy. I'll just use my battery tender from now on if I don't use it for more than 2 days.
Wish I knew which size/application it was that worked again. Need the dimensions. Costco's website doesn't seem to show their batteries either.

Update
Well, in this neck of the woods, finding even the correct AC Delco battery was a chore. And since I am a little soured on them, I got the Sears Platinum 75/86 DT. It is not quite a perfect fit. It is about a 1/2 inch taller but width and length are good. The positive cable is stretched to its limit and you cannot use the stock battery hold down so I had to go after market and cut down the tie down rods. The other small problem is that the tie down rods don't want to stay in the holes until you put tension on them so getting them to not fall out while putting the battery in is a little tricky. The only other issue I foresee, which I will tackle today, is that the cubby cover may not sit flush because the cables are not in their grooves but I think trimming the underneath portion of the plastic will fix that.
AS an OBTW, I found taking out the whole carpet was much easier than trying to finagle the battery out with it in place.
Will update when I am done.

I believe WalMart has one that will fit, and it is equipped with the vent hose.

Final Resolution
Well, this whole thing took some twisties so here is what finally works for me.
In a nutshell, in my neck of the woods, the only battery that I could buy, that works well, is the AC Delco. It's to bad because I am soured on the AC Delco's. I bought the AC Delco Professional 90-6yr. 30 month free replacement, prorated after that.
I returned the Sears Platinum 75/86DT because the cables would not allow the carpeting with the cubby cover to lie flat. To much would have to be trimmed and the cubby frame would have been too severely compromised. The cables, especially the negative cable, would not lay in the grooves and I would have had to completely cut away the section of the cubby frame where the negative cable runs.
So there you have it. One Z06 owners travails to get a new battery.
Hope this helps some folks.

Well, Costco quit listing the correct model number for the Corvette, but they still carry the battery. I believe it was part number 12850, and it has 590 cold cranking amps and 900 peak amps.
It was $65.00.
I'll attach my Battery Tender to it if it goes without being used for more than 2 days. I'll report back in a while and let everyone know how it goes.
For reference, I had the stock OEM battery and never had a problem prior to this. Then I had an auto body shop leave my car sitting for 4 weeks and it completely died. Now the car is not my daily driver, so we'll see..

duralast gold
I just bought a duralast gold. I purchased due this battery holds more cca than stock delco. C6 Z06 has limited space for battery options which I don't like. I have a nice radio sytem which needs a bigger battery. Duralast has 650 below freezing and 810 above freezing. 80amp reserve. Not bad for 129 dollars

I didn't read every reply, sorry if this has already been mentioned, but since the Z06 battery is located in the passenger compartment (hatch area) - it should be vented. The OEM has a vent tube to the outside. Same thing for my VW Touareg. Had mine replaced under warranty.

Melting Slicks
My original AC Delco worked fine in MD, but in the Tucson heat it was a problem if the car sat for more than 2 days.
I've read negative posts about Optima, but they have worked well for me. We run yellow and blue top Optima's in the race cars and they are the only thing that will hold up to the heavy vibration. I put a red top Optima in my Z06 and it can sit for weeks and still start the car.
I hope your new AC Delco works well. I'm told there are very few actual battery manufacturers left, so most of the batteries are similar.
