It is clear that a 450 hp C7 isn't the end especially with all the competition trotting out 600 plus horsepower cars.

The C7 will be a hit and the Corvette is very much alive. Part of the dwindling production numbers was the wait for the new generation. Only time will tell.
I might trade in my 08 C6Z for a third MY C7Z. We'll see. It only took them one year to come out with the C6Z.

I am on the fence about the C7, but I will be keeping my C6Z06 for the foreseeable future.

I think I will spend that money on getting their valves fixed on my current GM. I said, "I was not going to buy another GM". They can count on that. I'm buying a Tacoma...the wife is buying a Accord. I'll keep the 08 Z06 and do the head work.

Im on the fence about it. One minute I love it. The next I think the back looks like a Camaro.

I wont be trading. My Z06 looks better in my opinion.

nope, 2 reasons, the performance is not there, and the rear end looks hideous! but if they come out with a new z06 with DI 427 making 550+hp, then i will strongly consider it!!

i am going to skip the c7 and hope they get the c8 right. the rear end is the worst. i just dont like it at all. not too fond of the front either. i am betting on a lot of paint chips with the rockers as well. it may be fast and handle well but i do not want a fast ugly car. the c6z is much better in my eyes.

I can see the C7 growing on me, and also curious to see if GM ups the HP after a few years like they did with the C6 from LS2 to LS3... for right now, at least next 2 years or so I will be keeping my Z..still love the car and performance-wise it's still great.

Increasing the tread width brings it into the C6 wide body arena which really helps with the CG. I think it is going to be a real track dog. Beat on it day after day and it will take it. Now I will just have to take car of the C6Z so it is available to trade when the opportunity comes.

Bill, I think you are right on about that... we have not seen yet what kind of numbers the car will put up...and really curious to see how the new technology and suspension tuning , along with better tires will effect the performance. Too many people get wrapped up in peak HP numbers..

Caravaggio seats...HERE I COME!!!

I was scared i would be trading mine in because of the hype. Now i am going to take the money i am saving by not trading it and slapping some sick seats in there, haha.

I think the car will be a great performer, i like the front end but the rear windows and taillights really detract from its slippery styling. It just looks too chunky for my taste.

When the mighty(?) C7 beats the C6Z's record at Laguna Seca, I will consider it.

So many of us didn't like the new C-4....then the new C-5....and the new C-6....as with these previous years.... the C-7 will "grow" on many us....but I will wait and see what the next year or so brings in regards to HP or/if/when.... there will even ever be another Z.

Yup, especially if they make a performance model that weighs in at 3100lbs and north of 600hp

I like the new look and interior. The sound system even sounds like it will be pretty good..... In the specs on the NCM there is no mention that the Premium system is Bose....

An available premium 10-speaker audio system includes a bass box and two subwoofers – and speakers with rare-earth magnets that deliver greater sound quality with reduced weight and size.

True, but never at any point in seeing those did I look at certain angles and have a gag reflex. The car is a great step forward, but that back end just makes it not the one for me. I will never get over the tear droops and chunky box insert/diffuser area. I don't want a black car again, otherwise that would alleviate all thats wrong.

what happened to the sub 3000 lb curb weight all the Kool-Aid drinkers were talking about in the C7 section. Haha, 3350 is quite far from there. At the moment, I hate the rear, maybe over time. It took time for the GTR to grow on me. But it seems styled very similar to the new viper and I like the previous model Viper ACR more than the new one.

C7 looks nice but I have to see it in person, Took me to long to get my Z so it will have to stay with me.
