Congrats on the 200+ mph. Most expensive t-shirt you will ever buy.

C7 ZR1 with Tikt C7 Z06 style front facia would be brilliant.

I agree in stock trim its nose is full ugly. I think the C7 front end designer worked at Mazda. It hauls *** and ugly can be fixed.

There is a post about this on the C7 ZR1 forum. The C7 ran a best of 190.4 mph in the mile that day with no rear wing and front splitter.

Not bad numbers considering, as one poster said, this car was not built for straight line speed or top end. It was built to break records at VIR, Nurburgring etc.

C6 ZR1s were in the $120k range when new correct? The C7's are in that same range as well. Not bad considering you are getting over 100 more hp than the previous model and getting a world beater on the track.

I just appreciate what GM is doing and glad that the ZR1's are carrying on the tradition as "King of the Hill."

both these cars are insanely pretty you would have to be nuts to say the zr1 c7 isn’t good looking they have complete different body’s in my opinion which makes them unique c6 has more of smoother edges gives that different vibe and the c7 is all sharp no smooth or round edges tail lights etc. more classy

C6ZR1's started in the $105k range, and topped out around $125k fully equipped. The C7ZR1's start at ~$120k, so I would imagine you'd be looking at closer to $150k for a fully equipped vehicle. Still not a bad price considering the cars that it's competing with on and off the track.

That said, I can't imagine myself ever owning a C7. I just can't get past the looks. Flame on.

Wow, congrats OP! And props for actually driving these cars, like they're intended for.

I think the new ZR will pick up a few MPH once it's more broken in, both machines are super impressive. Can't wait to get into a C6 ZR1 myself as I'm not quite ready for a C7 platform yet, I'll admire from behind in my C6Z06 for now

One thing I notice looking at these cars side by side is how raked the back windshield of the C7 is and how narrow the side windows are compared to the C6 ZR1. I haven't sat in a C7, but I believe the visibility suffers when compared to the C6. Maybe it's fine, but it looks like it would be worse. I'm sure the new one is a beast though. Looks wise - I'll take the C6 ZR1.
