Default Running without TPMS??

06 Z06- Will running the car without any of the tire pressure sensors in the wheels cause the car to go into limp mode or anything?

What if only 1 wheel is missing a sensor?

Thanks guys

I was unable to get into competition mode and ABS would lock up on me if I turned too fast.

mine would not go above a certain MPH unless until the sensors were re programmed.

i friend of mine used a sealed pvc pipe in the rear of the car with the sensors in it to simulate the sensors being on the car but only worked for a couple days.

Well, Im going to be running like this at Road Atlanta so speed will definitely be a factor.. I do have a reprogramming tool and I think 3 of the 4 wheels of the set I want to put on have sensors. So Im wondering if just one not being there will scatterbrain the car..?

There are a few options. I am local to you, you can PM me and I will resoond with cell number if you wish.

Short version, pull the SWPS connector undrer the steering column.

The other option is to pull the ABS fuse, but if you go that route, you could end up with this..

Third option is to install a TPMS emulator. Call me about that one. What happens when it is 37 degrees outside, 2 laps into the session, in a down-hill / off camber braking zone, on multiple heat-cycled tires with the ABS fuse pulled..

Pull the steering position sensor under the drivers dash and call it a day. I fixed the annoying yellow light with electrical tape.

It will have no ill effects...
