what’s the best blower kit for a 2008 zo6 stock bottom end Heads are fixed and milled

Ls7’s don’t take boost for long. I don’t suggest it. If you still decide to go that route look at a kit from either A and A corvette or ecs. Both make great kits.

A&A or ECS. Properly set up and tuned for 700rwhp or less and you’ll be fine on stock bottom end unless you beat on it everyday at the track. The milled heads could pose a problem.

LS7 is just not a good candidate for boost. Not at all what it was designed for.

ECS or A&A

Milled heads could be an issue and you probably want to swap some unmilled fixed heads on, or you may be stuck running meth/e85 to overcome the milling. Target ~700rwhp at most, and keep it on safe side. Should only take 4-6psi to get there.

Two problem with blowers and LS7s with stock short blocks:

1) Compression. It's so high that you're going to live with either a very low level of boost, lots of KR and the coolant heat that goes with that or 100-oct. unleaded.

2) Cylinder walls which flex. The reason GM never put a blower in the LS7 is it's cylinder walls are too thin for boosted applications. The result is the bore walls flex which reduces durability and can create an oil control issue.

The magnitude of these problems will depend on how much you beat on that motor once you install the blower.

Thanks guys. I plan on running meth/e85. Also not now but in the future I do plan building the bottom end. I’m undecided about the thing still. As I do have a full nitrous outlet plate kit set sitting in my garage

Hate to say it, but if you do decide to go FI...I would plan to address bottom end sooner rather than later. Depending on mileage, you could get a decent chunk of change for an LS7 short-block (or long-block) in good working order. Take that money and put it towards a new sleeved block. If you do it after you pop a cylinder, that short-block is mostly likely only good as scrap metal or a coffee table.

talk to an engine builder the forum has several sponsers... tell them your goals and get some ideas from them... maybe they can take your motor on consignment or something.... a forged 402 and boost and you will be going to plaid

It is NOT required to get a built motor to go FI for your C6 Z06. I have a ton of customers who have superchargers on bone stock cars.

What is your HP goals?

What do you do with the car?

Do you need a kit that is smog legal?

I’d like to be mid 700 to low 800 hp
mainly street driving some 1/4 mile and roll racing

All the kits are very reliable... we sell a bunch of Procharger, A&A, and ECS. Since you live in CA I would HIGHLY recommend the A&A kit since it is CARB legal
