IS a C6 Z06 still considered quick?
As well all know time and technology marches on. Is the once mighty LS7 powered Z06 still considered a fast car?

Depends on your perspective and what you are comparing it to, overall I would say it's still quick, although an HCI is much quicker than a stock unit by far.

My C6Z is substantially quicker than my base C7. Honestly, I wouldn’t want anything with more HP (618 whp)

Yes. I also think there are plenty of them out there that are faster than the C8. Just not to 60 which is something I don’t worry about.

You may have been referring to bone stock, but you didn’t specify that in your OP

I consider my Grand Cherokee with the HEMI and wonderful ZF 8 speed to be reasonably “quick” (having to really work those 8 gears) and my CTS-V and Z06/07 to be downright “Fast!”
One of the things I love about the Z is its ability to be so docile with great fuel mileage and erupt with blazingly fast acceleration (at least to me) so easily!
The 707 HP FCA vehicles are really something, but our roads have curves made for the Corvette!

A lot can happen in 14 years. Remember, back in 2006 there wasn't anything on the road at the price point of the C6Z that could compete with it. Even the Dodge Viper at the time was right around the 500 HP mark, and the Ford GT was practically twice the price. To me, that was the beginning of the modern horsepower war that hasn't ended yet. These days you can walk into any of the big three dealers and drive off with a car that has over 700HP bone stock. Granted, I wouldn't put the Pony cars into the same category as the Vette, but the new Mustangs and Hellcats have come a long way.
So is the C6Z still quick? Sure. But all things are relative.

I just dedicated my z06 to the track and picked up a zr1 for daily....
zr1 is stock with headers I walked a hellcat from 75 to 140ish... we did it a few times just to be sure it wasn't an anomaly...
going with the lingenfelter 710 kit and adding e85 sensor to get me to to "current power levels"....
yeah a well put together z06 can hold its own against most, but it outshines still at the track....

This is the main reason why it's 0-60 time is not considered quick for today's standards
Just look at the difference between the same car, but one is manual and the other is lightning fast pdk

0-60 times sell cars. Most are irrelevant in the real world. The C6Z is still a beast even to this day.
