Congrats and Keep pushing that thing - these cars are real quick with 700+ rwhp!
thanks you know ill keep pushing it ,none of us can ever have enough power .......2k thats not bad at all.i bet you cant wait to crank up the boost and see what it will do (of course it will do better if we ever get this inlet issue fixed.)let us now when you do it.did you drop the motor out the bottom on a lift or did you take it out the top?did you just stick pistons in or did you send the block off and get it bored? shaun

I dropped the motor off at my machine shop for honing, they had the block ready for me to assemble in 2 days (which is quick for machine shops around here). The pistons were 4.005.

For now, I would just like to see 700+ with the inlets hooked up, then when winter comes maybe some inlet changes.

What fuel system are you using?

Ummmm, you need to take a look a bit higher, at the tq and hp lines.
Sure, a/f could be cleaned up a bit down low, but overall, that chart kicks a$$!!

With alky I can understand. Without, alky that is a bad a/f there. No matter what hp/tq it makes, you want it to be safe and running that rich is not as bad as being lean at all, but still not good for the car.

Basically same setup here - 60 lbs, MSD boost, and Alky control dual nozzle.

are you saying that it wont make over 9 psi or its not gaining anymore horsepower after 9 psi.you should be able to make over 9 psi but after a certain psi you wont gain any more horsepower(not enough volume of airflow through the inlets).do keep us posted

Yes, hes running out of AIR on those inlets..once he runs the car on the dyno with nothing on them.. watch out.. 800rwhp+..make sure you have the right fuel. and ofcourse clutch will have to hold.

Ultimately we had wanted to change the comp cover to a 70mm inlet connection and run the 70mm back section of flex tubing, replacing the 63mm, but didn't have time to organize the pieces before the car had to leave. It had seen 715+rwhp on the stock APS inlets previously on our dynojet with 345 Hoosier R6's sticking to the rollers but as I mentioned, the power simply could not be put to the ground so we turned the boost back down. Hope this helps some of you out that want to clear that 725rwhp air inlet hurdle....

Did you ever get a fix for the APS pipe restrictions?

Thanks for any help
