Default 8 Rib?

Someone explain to me what the "8 Rib" pertains to on a supercharger setup.

Thanks very much

Default see pics,

helps prevent belt slip cause you have more surface area on the pulleys that are 8 ribbed

An 8 rib pulley is a wider pulley for people running more boost which tends to cause belt slip with the factory 6 rib. This post has some good pictures:

So I figure I would show you guys a visual representation of the various widths.

6 rib:

6 versus 8:

6 versus 10:

8 versus 10:

12 versus 6:

12 versus 8:

12 versus 10:

12 versus the rest:

Now 10 rib fits without much messing around, I'm pretty sure 12 will work as well-you will need to get an alignment done for sure after as the rack will be getting spaced out another .5" inch.

The winter projects are already started!
