An 8 rib pulley is a wider pulley for people running more boost which tends to cause belt slip with the factory 6 rib. This post has some good pictures:

Now 10 rib fits without much messing around, I'm pretty sure 12 will work as well-you will need to get an alignment done for sure after as the rack will be getting spaced out another .5" inch.
