hey mr big,

first, i appreciate your interest!
secondly, the reason for the posting at the final stages of the build is that i believe that there is just to much sh*t talkin about how big my dick is ect....dont wanna get into all that so i figured i take the HIGH ROAD ON THIS BUILD.
OK now that that is out of the way, we have here is a 05 c6 with warhawk block, allpro heads, custom cam motion, oliver rods callies crank full jessel and the normal "good" stuff.

on the tranny side of things of course its RPM
4l80e tbrake ect.

turbo system is all constructed from 321 s.s. take a look at the picture of the headers. you'll notice that there is a 2.5 inch vband. from there a "mid" pipe connects to a t4. this allows for easier installation of the turbos as this mid pipe is bolted to turbo in advance. the gates are turbosmart 44mm vbands models. the turbos are turbonetics s covers which 4" inlet and 2.5 outlet. sizes range from "i believe" 58mm up to 76mm. anyone of these will bolt on. the intercooler was made by george at TTIX. its actually their upgraded cooler fore their own kit. 4.5 inches thick. THANKS GEORGE FOR ALL UR HELP!! the cooler then was hard anodized black. BOVs are also turbosmart's and are position BEFORE the cooler. reason for this was why throw unneeded heat into the cooler.

the alky kit is also something that is not typical to most here. its aquamist's hfs6. after ALOT of consideration i had no doubt that this was the one that i wanted to run. without going into boring details some of the features of this kit are really sweet. it basically has the ability to cut boost to the AMS 1000 thru a MAC valve. the pump also has a surge tank attached to it...look at pic.

now as far as those neat looking shields they are made by advance thermal products. i know second hand that these are the real deal! my buddy, dale is the tuner for a bonnoville land speed car named blow fish. last month he was dutweilers (spelling) engine dyno room and areas that didnt have shields were 800 plus degrees and area that did were 225 degrees. this should quell any underhood heat isses that most think when talking about top mounts. plus all the primaries go "down" like all other headers out there so.

hopefully this answers some of your questions.

oh and like i stated earlier i am taking the "high road" so i am not going to speculate of HP at this point.

Nick, You already know how i feel about the kit! looks amazing mate. those shields really give it a PRO look. i think F1 and WRC guys are using them also. one question, have you concidered Inconel manifolds? there are a few big budget builds going on here in the UK that are using them (NOT V8). i have heard Inconel is a bitch to cut and weld so the cost will be higher than 321ss. but should give the ultimate in heat management......

Also have you got any pics of the manifolds off the car and without heat sheilds?

Soooo glad this has finally come out in the open. Now you can get the praise you deserve for design a truely amazing kit. oh and to the other people on here, Nick has gone into this build with a totally open mind. the ideas he has used show the lateral thinking that has tacken place! and the water/meth injection systme is tried and tested.

Keep up the great work nick. think oyu have a lot of people worried with the setup mate!!!!!!

CHris.

:OH GOD I THOUGHT MY BILL FROM SPD FOR 321 WAS EXPENSIVE:*****

YEAH cannot wait to start spray that aquamist hfs6 kit. running 3 mm jets and at the pump pressure that equates to 1800cc

let me look for unwrapped pics

How did you block off the center vents so that they don't blow into the back of those gauges? Always been curious about that.
