I was tied up with clients all day and didn't have a chance to check on the car. The last report I received indicated the car was due to go on the dyno tomorrow. I found a new picture of the engine on the photobucket link above which looks as though the install is almmost complete. I've ordered a GHL Race Series exhaust, but I don't expect to receive it before Friday and I hope to have the car back by then. It currently has a Magnaflow system on it, but I wanted something which makes the new engine mod's more noticeable. It looks like I'll be busy removing that belt routing label on the radiator shroud and cleaning up the engine compartment when I get tha car back.
Looks great, look forward to seeing what that cam will do with your setup (and hearing it) What are your rwhp goals and how much boost do you want to run? I would imagine you will loose some psi with that cam so you may have to go to a 3.25 or smaller.
FYI Motorhead used a haltech beehive cover over his raditor and air cleaner that looks really good.
I saw what Motorhead did in another post and was impressed. It looks like me managed to isolate the air cleaner from the engine heat to some degree and it cleaned up the engine compartment as well. As for the pulley size, I'm assuming they're using the pulley that came with the system until they get it running and on the dyno. They told me that once they begin the tune they'll be able to determine the optimal pulley size for the setup. We added the Z06 fuel pump and a Boost-A-Pump so I expect results that are equal to or better than the high output system from Edelbrock. The car baselined at 332 RWHP / 330 RWTQ, but it will be difficult to determine exactly what the blower adds since we've also added heads, cam and headers to the mix. I never had any specific horsepower goals. The car is strictly a recreational vehicle and it was time for a "personality change".
Bonecrusher, I'm sorry but I forgot to ask what they did about the map sensor. I've spoken to them daily and they've kept me apprised of the challenges they've encountered and haven't said anything about the map sensor so I can only assume it wasn't an issue for them.

Gave the deposit to the good folks at ECS for an e-force installation. Should be going down in two weeks (I wish it was going today). Since my car is an auto I am hoping to get a nice tune in sport mode to get a more positive feel from the shifting. It is really sloppy.
Welcome to the club. ESC is a one of the best in the country.
So your in great hands.
zer0, thanks, for the intro. I posted a similar update on Bonecrusher's thread, but I'll share this with those who've been following this post. Livernois Motorsports did a first dyno run on my car late this afternoon. It was done with the stock 3.780 pulley and with the Edelbrock canned tune to get the car running. The first (and only) run produced 545 RWHP / 508 RWTQ. This represents a gain of 213 RWHP and 178 RWTQ over the baseline of 332 RWHP / 330 RWTQ which was run before the engine was torn down. They're planing to experiment with different diameter pulleys tomorrow morning in an effort to obtain optimal power and boost settings in addition to optimizing the tune. Earlier today I was able to hear the car run. I was surprised by the exhaust note which seemed a little more subdued than it did before the mod's. The car currently has a Magnaflow exhaust system that's now combined with Kooks long tubes and hi-flow cats. There's a noticeable chop to the idle, but I was surprised (maybe a little disappointed) with the exhaust note itself. Fortunately, my new GHL Race Series exhaust system is scheduled to be delivered tomorrow. Since it's only comprised of 2 -10" flow through resonators and over the axle pipes, I'm sure it will make an appreciable difference in the sound of the idle and under acceleration. I'll keep everyone apprised of developments and hopefully, I'll be able to report on the "real feel" of these mod's. after tomorrow.
Did they tell you how much boost the 3.8 pulley made? What other sizes are they planing to try?
No. I didn't have much of an opportunity to speak to them yesterday. It's been a busy week at work for me. Hopefully, I'll have more time today and maybe get the car back.
I still hope to pick the car up this afternoon, but I received a dyno sheet earlier and the final run produced 565 RWHP / 496 RWTQ. The torque is down a little (12 ft. lbs) from the first run. I haven't had an opportunity to speak to anyone since early this morning so I don't know where the boost is at. They indicated they went to a smaller pulley, but didn't elaborate on the size. I really didn't have any specific HP expectations, but this is right in the area they had projected based on their experience Magnacharger installs on LS3's with similar engine mod's. My car's an A6 LS2 with L92 heads, cam, headers and Z06 fuel pump. The way I look at it, I realized a significant HP bump and a very appreciable increase in torque. I received a P/M from another forum member with an LS3 and very similar engine mod's. He installed an E-Force with the Z06 fuel pump and his car is producing 545 RWHP, but he feels there's more to be realized with a better tune. I'm not going to comment until I get the car back. I'm trying not to put too much emphasis on numbers now. The goal was to change how the car performed and so far, I haven't had a chance to experience that.
