Getting my E-Force installed
HOW TO INSTALL AN UPDATED .LFU FILE INTO AN SCT E‐FORCE HANDHELD PROGRAMMER.
VEHICLE CALIBRATIONS ARE UPDATED FOR MANY REASONS AND DO NOT NECESSARILY IMPLY THAT YOUR VEHICLE
WILL HAVE MORE POWER OR A CHANGE IN DRIVEABILITY OR PERFORMANCE.
AS A PRECAUTION, ALWAYS REPROGRAM YOUR VEHICLE TO ITS STOCK TUNE BEFORE UPDATING AN .LFU FILE ON AN EFORCE
HANDHELD PROGRAMMER. DO NOT DRIVE THE VEHICLE WITH THE STOCK TUNE INSTALLED OR ENGINE DAMAGE
MAY OCCUR.
Load the new LFU file into the E‐Force handheld programmer:
1. Download and install SCT Device Updater from the SCT website here:
http://www.sctflash.com/software/SCTDeviceUpdater.exe
2. Connect the E‐Force Handheld Programmer to your computer with the supplied USB cable.
3. Go to: http://www.edelbrock.com/automotive_...oft-tech.shtml
4. Under the “Download” column, choose your desired update and click on the “Click Here” text link.
5. Once the File Download window opens, click “Save” and save the file to a location on your computer.
6. Launch the SCT Device Updater software.
7. Once connected, press the "Transfer File to Device" button.
8. Click on the Browse button and Navigate to the location to which you saved the .LFU file. You should see a
file with an .lfu extension. Click on the Tune Revision File, then click Open.
9. You will see Transfer of File Complete at the bottom left corner of the X3/LiveWire Updater Software, this
means it’s done. UPDATING THE TUNE REV ON X3/SF3/LIVEWIRE is now COMPLETE.
10. You may now reprogram the vehicle using the handheld according to the process described in the
supercharger installation manual

The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts

Great product either way...
Just curious if its a weekend plaything or for those who want to drive their corvette 10 to 12k miles a year ?
An extra 120 hp would be nice but not if it makes the corvette a weekend play thing.
Just curious who has the edelbrock supercharger and plans to use it as a daily driver? (except snow etc)
and last but not least congratulations on your new mod! Sounds great.

When I gort home I read the code with scanner - random misfires", reset the code and OK now.
It may have been the altitude - will keep an eye open - it still felt extremely strong -

My 07 has the new E-Force on it, 500+ hp at the rear wheels on an otherwise bone stock car. This car is a daily driver and so far in the 260 miles I've put on it, I have no reason to believe that it won't continue to make an excellent daily driver.
I appreciate the insight and I look forward to hearing over time how much your enjoying the s/c'd vette....
I also enjoy hearing how it compares to your cts v 556hp factory car.
The vette is a 6 speed standard, and if I punch it in 1st or 2nd gear there's a good chance the rear tires will spin too much. I've yet to floor it in 1st or 2nd because I know it would be futile.
Both cars have approximately 556 hp at the crank (the vette was 501 at the wheels and backing out 10% for driveline loss puts it at 556.67 at the crank). But the CTS-V weighs about 1000 lbs more, so the power to weight ratio is significantly different between the two cars.
The CTS-V is a big heavy car, so when it accelerates blindingly quick it plays with your mind because you don't expect it.
The Vette is a sports car and when you punch the gas it overpowers the tires in a way that still confuses your mind since the car never had this problem before.
I created a thread to capture my impressions over time, so I'll be updating that one thread periodically.
