Check out A&A. They have a real nice ram air IC that you might be able to rig.

I guess what I'm trying to say is what is the purpose of this upgrade? Is the cooler you received not up to par with your setup? Just curious as if you will benefit from another cooler design I would like to know..

The one that came with the kit is really small. The people that i have talked to said that in this heat down here in South FL that i might get 1-2 runs before heat soak kicks in.

Im looking at all options really. I know A and A makes a good one. But i might have them make me a custom setup with fans to help with this issue

To my knowledge the optional TTi X intercooler is largest. They would have to modify it for single inlet and not sure what impact your radiator frame/skid bar would have on angle as ECS kit pushes it forward.

Another option is Bell intercoolers, they have made C6 intercoolers.

i also have the ecs intercooler, yes it is "oversized" but half of it is sitting behind the bumper with no air flow... the AA intercooler is wider and fills the grill opening.

this winter i am going to seal off the front front bumper and build delfectors to increase aitflow to my radiator - im tired of over heating in traffic

I think your best option on an intercooler would be to take some measurements and have bell either make you a core and have a local shop make the tanks, Taylor at Dallas Performance is really good at this or have bell build the whole thing for you. Taylor at Dallas Performance built the intercooler for my last build and it was top notch.

I was just in bunper to bumper the other day at 95
degrees. I was amazed at the new dewitts with the A&A intercooler
out front. Never got over 221 and cooled right down when I got rolling.
it's winner!

I don't think there is much worry about heat soaking an air-to-air FMIC. I'll admit that the ECS IC is unimpressive looking but I have been more than happy with my IAT's.

If you want to swap it out thats cool. I would be interested in seeing what the difference is.

We, and other shops, have done back to back comparisons of power and IAT's from our intercooler and other top brands. We have found zero benifit from switching in both accounts, or we would have switched ours long ago. We are always looking for ways to make more power, regardless of expense for those who want it, but in this case you would be wasting your money IMHO. The bottle necked outlet of some of the others we have tested actually robbed some power from the cars tested.

i was wondering if there would be any benefit to sealing the intercooler to the front grill there by further lowering IATs, do you have any suggestions? I was also looking to to increase flow to the radiator and see if i can cheaply get my coolant temps down on hot days

Sounds like you need to focus on:

*Checking your Antifreeze-to-coolant ratio
*Consider a larger, more efficient radiator
*Consider cleaning out the spaces inbetween for debri, etc.

Only after those three things are verified would I suggest throwing more money at a problem (that may or may not be a problem). How high is your coolant temp getting, and how "hot" is the weather?

if ambient temps are 85 or up I see 200-210 coolant and 230 oil while moving, through traffic I see 220-230 coolant and 246 oil. this is all with the AC off.

- my antifreeze to coolant ratio is now about 70% water with the rest coolant and water wetter

- you are more than welcome to send me a new larger more efficient radiator, ill pm you my address

- i cleaned out a bunch of debris when my filter fell off, no change in temps

after every drive my engine compartment is filthy, this is telling me that air is coming through the grill opening and bypassing the IC and Rad, by sealing the area off i will focus more air where it needed and make the most out of my setup. eventually I wasnt to run an EWP, external oil cooler, bigger fans and larger radiator

I have the Dewitts along with the stock A&A intercooler and have never overheated in traffic. I have the stock thermostat too and no oil cooler (nonZ51)
