Default My intercooler setup

wanna thanks david and mike for all your hard work. wanna also thank george @ TTIX for fabbin up this monster 4.5 cooler. sorry for lousy pics as big thunder storm rolled thru and wasnt able to take pics until it was dark.

take a close look at the "tin" work that was done that TOTALLY forces air thru cooler.

i will post up some new treads at later date that will show some of the other well thought out designs of my BAM BAM turbo kit.

Coolio! The only thing I'll say is to paint that bottom bracket silver/aluminum'ish. It kinda looks out of place. I do like how the side baffels are black.

Nick, can you tell me a litle bit about what you did with your fogs? Are they brake coolers now? Is that all custom?

sure.... Bill.
i pulled the light and reflector out and the center section (which is 3" BTW). i also removed/cut out lense.". i then pressed in a thin walled 3tubing...fits nice . from there i ran flexiable tubing up to the top of the rad. flexiable tubing feeds the "airbox" as the top rad shield is super tight.
the air has NO were to go but thru the intercooler as the top front portion of the intercooler is sealed against the crash bar.

hey bill take a look at this pic...youll see that the center black piece seals the lower part of the cooler plus the center were the two tanks meet.

Well, i wonder if you're serving crow sandwiches this xmas.... alot folks are gonna need one. (Including myself!)

Kit looks great.. way to work it through.

I was just thinking about ripping out my fog lights as down here in miami, they're rarely used. I wanted to duct air into an intake setup.

Yea, I know. I just think it would look better if it matched the intercoolers so it was less conspicuous. Doesn't really matter. Not many people are going to be seeing the front.

well most current coolers sit parrallel to rad and condensor. this one is tilted forward making a bigger air gap on the bottom. remember that these ar "bottom breathers" too. ive modded the underneath facia too. the air entering the front grill has NO were to go but thru the cooler then from there to rad and condensor. ive also removed fog lights and have ducting to top side for fresh air for filters. look closely at the top rad shield.......its made to very close tolerances its about as close to an :airbox as possible
