I just picked up my 2008 Z06 last night from the Tuner. Added an A & A radiator, billet harmonic balancer and E Force Supercharger. Dyno shows 605 rwhp and 561 rwt. Beautiful install, looks completely factory under the hood. Had the coil covers powder coated in torch red. It became obvious on the way home, I am going to have to relearn how to drive. No way I ever punch it in first or second gear, unless I want to just be along for the ride.

Awesome. What kind of company does powder coat? What did it cost? Again, awesome.
I just mentioned to Xtreme in Tempe (installer) that I was thinking of red coil covers and he said we can get that done for you. I really don't know who he sent it to. I have had a wheel straightening company do power coating for me before or just a auto painter should be able to do it or know who does. It was $150 for stripping and powder coating. The original Edelbrock covers are a rough finish and the power coating resulted in a very smooth finish, which should be a lot easier to clean.

Never did like those heavy cast aluminum covers; more weight and more heat soak all built up into one. But you found a way to make them even less appealing.
I'd take them off and maybe get a coil relocation kit or some of those billet valve covers that are always being advertised here; it'd look a lot better and run cooler.
