Default Advice needed.

Gentlemen (and Ladies if applicable),

I need some advice, from those of you who have installed Edelbrock E-Force SC's on their LS-7's. (See my signature/profile...I currently have a normally aspirated '09 Z06 with some good bolt-ons and a tune).

I'm concerned re heat build up with the E-Force SC. I am in the South...taking fequent trips between NC and LA. and I do drive in traffic...currently approx. 76K mi, altogether.

Currently have a stock radiator and a 160F thermostat.

Should I be concerned enough about over heating to go for an after-market / larger capacity radiator?

If so, what make?

Would appreciate some knowledgeable recommendations.

Thanks,

Regards: cheers:

Duffy

With the Edelbrock install on your LS7 you remove the factory air-to-fluid oil cooler and it is replaced with a ZR1 style fluid-to-fluid unit. That frees up some airflow to the radiator but the fluid-to-fluid ZR1 unit is going to offload the oil cooling responsibility to your radiator's coolant (indirectly). Your supercharger will add heat back into the process and your supercharger's heat exchanger takes the space previously occupied by the oil cooler. The Dewitts "direct fit" radiator for the Z06 is a good option.

I don't have an LS7 but rather an LS3 with the same supercharger kit plus other mods and I live in the south. I run a Dewitts. NO ISSUES
