Default Autometer Gauge Problem

We are having a fuel pressure gauge problem on the new E Force install. We are on the second fuel pressure gauge and this second one is doing the same thing. Showing 60 psi when working and will return to zero psi when you shut down the car. They work fine a week are so and then you fire it up one time and the gauge goes to 27 psi and never moves again. Changed it out.... second one runs a couple weeks...goes to 52 psi, never moves again. Waiting on the third gauge now.

These are the A Post gauges from Autometer, Boost and fuel pressure.

Anybody got any ideas, everything else is fine with this car, nice nice system.

Are you using 12v or 5v for the source? Some sending units need 5v (IIRC)

What do the instructions say? You may need 12v for the gauge light and 5v for the sending unit.

Exactly what gauge do you have?

It is exactlly by the instructions. They are Autometer A Post Boost and Fuel Pressure. We got the hot off a 12 volt accessory downstream of the lights. That should handle it perfectly. The lights in the gauges continue to work no problem, in both failures I have not lost the light.

Ok. So, you have received 2 bad head units and you're waiting for the third try?

I saw 12v from the battery switched for red wire, black to ground, white to dash lighting, correct?

I did read something on their site about each gauge has a specific sending unit. I wonder if there is a miscommunication in that area? Your wiring sounds fine.
