I can't get the ****ING slave cylinder disconnect apart!!!!!! Someone please explain to me why they felt the need to hide the clip. It took me a while to find out which end was which but it doesn't really matter because I can't access any of it. Looks really easy here but it is not.

The clip is not even visible:

I have no idea how I did this when I put my ACT twin in. Must have been easier because the headers were off. The manifold and turbo are still bolted up right now. I do NOT want to remove it. I've even tried dremeling in a channel to stick a watch screwdriver into to try and pry under the clip to remove it. Pushing on the other side of the clip doesn't seem to work either.

So just as Jeff said, the bolts on the rear cover were too long. Rather the rear cover I used is recessed around the bolt holes ~.200". You could see a gap between the bolt shoulder and cover as soon as the flywheel came off. Again I didn't catch it because I installed the rear cover on the engine stand. The front disk of the clutch got pretty doused in oil. I hit the whole thing (flywheel, disk, floater plate, disk, pressure plate) with a couple cans of brake cleaner and it doesn't feel oily anymore. I could have put some washers over the bolts but I didn't want to take a chance of an interference problem with the flywheel so I spent some time on the bench grinder. I measured the bolt hole depth and made the bolts ~.200" shorter than that.

Oh, and Mike (omnicube) came over to help yank the drivetrain and had the quick disconnect on the slave off before he cracked his first beer. Apparently I was:

Glad it's taken care of. Hopefully it will be smooth sailing from here on. You are lucky to have so many good friends close by to lend a hand as long as you hand them beers in their hands

Off topic but I will be starting a build thread soon. Not as baller as yours but it will be entertaining nonetheless

Yep, it would be next to impossible to do some of this stuff alone.

Looking forward to your build thread.

Snapped a stud off the ACT flywheel putting the clutch in. For reference, 75 ft# is too much. I had hoped to get the drivetrain back in today but not so much after that set back. Clutch is on with all new studs and rear cover is good to go. Bellhousing and TT/tranny/diff tomorrow. Maybe I'll finish wiring the EBoost tonight.

Everything is back in. It starts and ~runs, no leaks. Tune needs some work but it was able to keep it idling with my right foot enough to cook off some of the oil/paint/etc. Thanks to omnicube, stangkiller and inspector12 for lending hands to help me yank and re-stab the drivetrain. Joe_G, the '05 diff is nice and clean for it's long term stay between the stickys.
