Hey Sam! Yeah those are some nice number 4 u. Wonder if Zr tranny will be plus for me with 60-130. Probably not as. 2 and third are close ratio.
Depends on in which gear and at what rpm you will see 130mph.
My stock geared C5 Z06 would hit 140+ in 4th gear, so it was lacking a bit in 4th gear.
I really wanted to see what a 3.73 ratio would do for 60-130, since it would have lowered my mph in 4th gear from about 140 to about 130-132.
I was expecting a few tenths improvement since the car would have been pulling a bit harder in a 3rd to 4th gear 60-130 pull, but I never got to try it.
Close-ratio might be a plus, as long as you can go full throttle at around 45-50mph and still hit 130 with only one shift.
I wonder if a 28 inch tire will go 130mph with an M6(base or z06) gearing and 3.42's in 3rd gear? Then you might not have to shift if you have a lot of power.
Just read that on SupraForums and came to this thread to see what numbers I might expect when I do the event down there ... that's sad how slow i'll be
Imagine a car (UGR lambo) that is almost a full second faster from 60-130 than a built 427 blown auto vette with over 1000 rwhp (1swtride's car)...that is just silly....I know what .9 seconds is like on a drag race...its embarassing to say the least...so from a 60 kick I imagine its pretty bad too....several carlengths...
5.88 is very fast obviously, but ther are always those faster...unless you have $400K wrapped up in a UGR Lambo I guess! lol
1swtride's car has gone faster @ 8.57 in 1/4, but it didnt have the 60-130 timer in it then. That time recorded was during 9.0ish 1/4 mile times.
He is back to a new T6060 trans now, so hopefully we will see some nice six speed times from him this season.
I logged my C6 Z06 (507whp) a quite a few times 60-130mph. It is tough to gauge where you sit at in the group, since they allow up to a 3% grade. On a flat surface my car's best is a 8.08 down here in wonderful Florida humidity. It averages 8.2.
I have logged quite a few stock C6 Z06's and they average 8.90-9.1. A buddy with a cammed Z06 averages in the 7.6-7.8 range. Fastest thing I have logged so far is a ZX-10 at 4.84, but that's not a car...lol

what did the car trap in the 8.57 run and in the 9.0 run?
one thing about the 60-130 is that it eliminates 60ft times out of the equation .. a car going 9.1 @177 (UG's Lambo) with a 1.7 60ft will have no bearing on 60-130
you could have a car go 8.2s all b/c of the hole shot and still not run a 3.0 60-130
There is always someone faster. Notice how all but one are AWD. I would love to see more RWD times with specs of the build.
I will have ECS build something bigger and nastier but want to see how fast everyone else is what it took to get them there
You're numbers are great. For comparison purposes, I'm 1SwtRide on the referenced list with ECS' hardcore package on my 2006 C6Z06 which, at that time, had a YSi making 1000+ rwhp and close to that in rwtq. However, that fast time was at the track running a powerglide and "semi-slicks". This is the thread when the car was YSi and got that 60-130 and a 8.78 1/4 mile time.
I've since swapped out the powerglide and the car's getting put back to a 6 speed with ZR1 transmission and some other special mechanical and electronic goodies courtesy of ECS
By the end of this month, the car should be dyno'd on both ECS' dyna-pac then on some rollers for the over approx. 1100 rwhp/rwtq tuning by Doug@ECS. Once it warms up, I'll be aiming for better 60-130 etc times and working on my 1/4 times to try for *fingers crossed* low 9s / *pray to horsepower god* high 8s with a six speed. I'll be sure to post up.
