I'll leave it to you and shawn to chase the lambos
Beating those Lambos was the initial goal but those things are stupid fast! So my personal goal is to run a 200+mph trap speed on boost only @ T.I. Before adding more boost, we need to hook up the Pro EFI and put it to the ground first.

Ill wait till all you guys figure out the pro efi before i do anything.. i really dont want to throw 5th... which limits me to 180ish on a 28" tire @ 7500ish rpm.

Tejano blue had a powerglide and it obviously worked for them, same the thing with the blue 1% Viper from a few years ago with a glide..... I just think to go 175-180 mph at this event only using high gear (1:1), you would need some 2.73 or 3.15 gears like David mentioned, or some 30" tires or something.

The converter would have to really be right to work in this format.. It would be interesting to see a big power, auto vette setup for this event, it would pretty much be in 3rd gear for the whole pass..

I am not sure where the line is for big power or not, but Austin (C5austin) went 157.7 last event banging off the limiter the last 150ft or so, because he ran out of gear. We hoped a converter change was all he would need to really see what it would do, but then he went and swapped to an f1x so we won't know. He is just running a basic rebuilt 4l60e and locking it in 3rd with hp tuners for the entire pull.

I definitely had a learning curve with the launch and trying to get traction. I don't know how the 12xx+ guys do it. I was spinning through 3rd on a couple pulls.

It's nice hearing some of you guys share trap speeds to actual numbers, as I didn't really have any accurate numbers to go off of, apprently our local dyno is way off.

Man, I must have been doing it wrong. I put it in third as well, but i tried just stomping it and I spun a good deal. I went down on a brand new pair of drag radials, came home with a need to purchase new ones lol.

Ya I definitely plan to step up from my 325/45/17's. Time to do the 15" conversion of the winter to be ready come spring time. And... add a little more power.

Had fun this year and think it went pretty well for my first time out. 169.17mph bouncing off the rev limiter 100+ft before finish. Raising my rev limiter to 7200 should net me 172-173 pretty easily. I was pushing a small amount of coolant out of my reservoir tank, but it was also very full so may have been slightly lifting the heads. Ran it on Sunday and it didn't do it again, but blew a charge pipe off and lost the t-bolt clamp (should have found you bill). Overall a good weekend and look forward to upgrading a few things and trying again in the spring!

Here is a vid from my first round race in 6-speed challenge on Friday: https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=703331703076309

Not 100% sure it lifted the heads. car is fine. Pushed about a cup of coolant if that out of the cap and the coolant was well over the fill line, but the 169 was on spray. I plan on pulling the heads off and checking everything over this winter anyway. Little more rpm and i'll be good to go for the spring
