After my DSS shaft damaged last month, Frank@DSS & Jermey@RPM (thanks for the outstanding support) work it out and shipped me a new shaft, we managed to installed it a day before a local event. White shark has put down 861rwhp@23 through unlocked converter and RPM 4L80E (with restrictor on the F2 intake)
FYI, the shark managed to put down 1230whp@30psi (without restrictor) previously on dyno but could not run it on track to due bad prep (blow the gasket and water pushed through head stud!! lol
I have won the event in the open class - run consistent times between 9.1 and 8.9
best time was 8.8s@152mph with 1.3 60" & yes yes it is still in FULL STREET TRIM: ABS, RADIO, AC and factory E38 ECU!
Specs as previous with except to below changes: - SM modified F2
- SM custom camshaft
- Coan new converter
- ARH 2.1/8 headers
Car built & tuned at SLR Performance (inst:@slrperformance)
I am so happy for you Mo!! You worked thru all the obstacles that most would just throw in the towel. You persevered and now you got satisfaction for all your hard work!

Hey Nick, yes finally!!!! you know all the BS I have been through lol this is what it takes to 8 second runs (8.8 and 8.9) and 3 other 9.0, 9.1ish runs
Let me see your blue monster at drag again,, I'm sure you can be in mid to low 8 with 1400ish whp and 4l80
Damn 280* F ... Wow.. It must be really hot there where you are racing...(in the desert I assume).
Maybe try adding another M10 nozzle of meth to the inlet of the blower to help knock some heat out before it hits the blower.
Maybe time for an air to water IC with an ice box....(although this won't work on the street)...
I bet your ECU is pulling mega amounts of timing out depending on the thresholds you have set..
I'm not sure if you have E85 there, I seriously doubt it but....that would help, atleast in the cylinder temps (not IATs).
That's a tough problem to solve for sure.
Not at all, the weather currently is nice (68F), but not sure if anyone here tried to hit the track with F2 corvette car and recorded the IAT in full pass? I bet he will have same high IAT issue with A2A cooler at least
No, e85 and thanks for the VP C16, it helped with extreme IAT, and you are correct about pulling lot of timing which saved my ***.
First run, without meth, IAT reached 300+F
With the dual nozzle, IAT reached 282F maximum. 3rd nozzle is a good solution or a2w or F1X!
I have that sucker laying on gound now (black coated F1X) but still thinking to postpon its installation as I like how the F2 can generate the boost very quickly!
Sure, you can share it and let me know if you need some pictures I can send it to you.
Congrats on your achievement! I believe your high IAT's are coming (or at least partly) from the restrictor plate. Remove it and make a pass and see if they come way down. I've seen this before and that was the cause.
