Here is some pictures of my busted differential. The question is, where do you guys recommend to buy a new one? Have read through posts & decided to create my own thread to accommodate my specific needs
Holy fk sauce! Do you have any pics of the gears etc, what was diagnosis? Was this a OEM diff or modified/built? Maybe wasn't torqued down or bolts backed out, this happened to me once, bolt flew out back of diff cover causing extreme leakage etc etc etc.. Pretty stinky stuff and not fun having to recover from it..
I would consider swapping to an 08+ z06/zr1/grand sport tr6060 trans and diff
I have contemplated that option since i'm going to spray a 150-200 shot in the near future (when i fix the rear end) but for now i'm looking into not spending thousands in a nee Transmission & differential

you're right it isn't cheap but personally if something broke I would rather put something better in place of it rather than the same part that has a higher chance of failing again... if you go through a few stock diffs that could have been money spent towards a better setup, that's how I justify it in my head anyway

I've had friends break the z06 diff. Too so i will probably look into one from RPM, but first i'll just get a quick replacement. (I had spent all my car-saving's money in parts already)
That is normal for a 2005 diff. Surprised it lasted that long. I would just swap to c6z stuff. I'm running bone stock c6z tranny/diff at 1200rwhp. Zero issues.
