Default Pulley Problem

Anyone know the part number for the ac idler bearing on 2008 LS3? I have an 8 rib direct drive setup the bearing went bad and caused my ac belt to shred which caused my power steering and charging system to fail, because it runs another set of pulleys which they operate off of. Any help would be appreciated. The dealer has been no help.

Earl is that on the AC tensioner or were you upgraded to the C5 bracket that has the second idler?

Doug that must be an upgrade because the tensioner is below that. I guess that's why the dealer did not see it in the computer. I need the idler bearing part number if you can help me thanks in advance. Earl

I believe 38241 is what you are looking for. C5 AC idler pulley. Also 12557334. AC-Delco #15-4669.

That's if you have the c5 ac idler. The LS3 usually does not. Is it in that pic?

Make sure that's what you need. An LS3 wouldn't normally have an ac idler.

Yes I have removed the idler bearing it was shot. The tensioner is directly below. The LS3 does not have this setup. This was an upgrade by ECS. Thanks for your help.

No problem. Glad I could help. Just wanted to make sure you had the c5 style ac setup.
