I do have an AC in the garage, but it can't keep up with the heat outside. It blows Ice cold, but I would need a lot bigger one and to insulate the garage.
No, keeping all the cog lower parts. Just swapping the upper part. A&A wouldn't sell me just the upper, so I bought a complete kit, then sold the 90% brand new parts (belts, lower, hose, etc) with my DP upper part to Joe@CPR to use on his personal car.
My AC belt was squealing a little when I turned the air on. I changed the belt for Gatorback and the AC tensioner for a stronger one and it hasn't made a sound since.
It would make sense that the 4 rib ac belt would slip before the 6 rib, and since I'll be running a stock ac setup and the cog, maybe I'll have no issues like planned.

The worlds first ECS/A&A/DP setup is almost done. Just need to finish the PS res mount.
Belt seems short. May need to step down a size. They sent a 370 which seemed way too long, had a 365 laying around. Put that on, but tensioner didn't move all that much, so went to spare belt drawer (yes I have one) and found a 360. Will put it on later if needed.
DP stuff bolts right on, no mods or cutting. A&A need to extend hoses, cut brackets, and move the PS res. Seems like a nice setup, but definitely more involved install.
I used AC Delco tensioner. 38462 It is a different part number then the standard one and listed as "professional". I took a chance and ordered one and when comparing to the one on my car, it was considerably more stiff. Whether this was partially because mine was used, I cant tell you.
It has the same part number as the Gates tensioner, so I would assume it is the same, but I chose to order the ac delco one.

Got the PS res mounted. What a pain in the ***. Had to get a new radiator hose to clear it. Cut and modify the PS lines. I hope the A&A setup works great because fitment compared to the DP setup is junk. That bolted right on zero issues. This you have to cut up your PS bracket, lines, and radiator hose, and still doesn't fit great compared to the other unit.
