My install was pretty frustrating too. So many things that I could do in half the time if I were doing a second one.

Im ready to just be done installing this kit and drive it. Trying to be patient with everything. My tuning appointment is thursday, and i can only really work on it from 730-1030 every night. Should make it, but its getting close...

Next time, I'll pay the speed shop to do it. The two of us doing this install both are mechanically inclined, but id rather a shop that has installed tons of these do it.
What they don't tell you for some reason is that it is simple and much cleaner to move that "T" in the plumbing from under the head unit, over to the side.

That hose is a bastard. I strongly recommend just moving it too.

Despite all the glowing reviews you hear on this forum, the popular C6 centri blower kits tend to have some fitment issues or compromises.

Most owners don't do their own installs, so it's transparent to them. That's just my opinion after installing mine. As a guy who's a little OCD about fit and finish, my kit bothered me in a number of ways.

That's exactly how me and my buddy are. Not one to let sloppy fitment be allowed. Lots of changes and modifications to get it to our liking.

Moved a few things as well but all in all it was a clean easy install. I have had zero issues up till this point.

But at least all the brackets and tensioner fit well? ?!! Because if needs to be modified that's a whole different story, it could compromise the strength of the parts!!

Well, I work on cars for a living as well. Guess that's why we share that mentality.

Yep! I worked in automotive industry for the last 8 years. Worked my way up from general service tech to running my own store and assisting a 12 store district.
Except now I'm a regional sales manager for a machine tool company. Better hours. Better opportunity. Anywho.

Install is all done. Fired up no leaks. test driving it tomorrow night and tuning this week while I'm in Texas for work. Very excited to see what the numbers end up being and picking her up Friday!

Anyone in Dallas wanna pick me up and take me for a ride this week?!

If you have an 05 a zr1 map sensor will NOT work properly. Dpe makes one that will work or you can build one if you're really feeling adventurous

Well.. Its all done! Tuning results are not exactly what I was hoping for but she definitely scoots on the road. 559/486 on a DynoJet.

Thats a 2010 Grand Sport. 6spd. SLP catted longtube headers. and ECS1500 Kit.

Congrats and enjoy! Every car is different and at the same time I don't put too much faith on dyno numbers. Was the boost monitored? What is the timing? AFR?

Meth or no?

Without meth that actually isn't bad. You get to a point where you really need more octane or knock is inevitable. The SC setup is fully capable of going well over 600 with meth so don't worry too much about the numbers

no meth. Car feels great, except theres a lot of surging in first and second when slowly accelerating. Theres also slight surge feelings when trying to cruise. You can feel it in the engine.

AND the check engine light came on with a bunch of codes today. All catalyst codes and one evap. So im assuming they forgot to delete the rear O2s that I dont have haha. Driving back up there in the morning.

I have a zr1 map sensor but they still tuned it via MAF... Is there any real difference or gains to be had on tuning MAF vs Speed Density?

On mine it's way smoother in SD.

There should not be any surging on a stock cam'd car. Mine wasn't super smooth when I was trying to use the MAF.. adding a honeycomb prior to the MAF helped a good bit. When I looked at the logs you could see the MAF readings bouncing around, presumably from turbulence caused by the supercharger. The "surging" for lack of a better word matched up to these oscillations.

I really think you'll have better luck going SD. It's easier/faster to tune a MAF table or two so I'm sure that's why they just did that instead. The VE table needed for SD is a whole lot bigger.

Yeah if you don't have evap/rear O2's then that's easy enough to get rid of..

A proper maf tune works fine in most cases. Have been maf only for years, with no issues.
