**** POST 105 for some install updates and aggravations.
Well, Ive owned my 2010 Grand Sport for about 4 months now, and I cant just leave it alone. I pulled the trigger on an ECS black kit as well as some catted SLP Headers. Very excited to be back in the FI game as my previous car was a Supercharged 2012 mustang 5.0.
I have been reading all over the place and following a bunch of threads. Is there anything I should start piecing together or buying before the kit gets here?
Also, I have seen a number of people complaining about the install directions being outdated... Have they been revised? I wouldnt know by reading the instructions now since I dont have anything else in front of me.
I plan to do the install at my shop with one of my buddies. We both work in automotive so I'm assuming this wont be too hard of a job to tackle.
Hoping to get close or break that 600whp mark. I do not want to add meth which I know a ton of people do, but Id rather keep it as low maintenance care free as possible.
Let me know what you guys think! Tips, Advice, Side Steps, insider info, etc etc!!
ECS hurry up and finish building my KIT!!!
Also a huge thanks to Cajun@BER for the pricing and consistent quick responses to my e-mails. He worked his butt off for my business, and I cannot thank him enough. Wonderful guy to deal with and I would refer him to everyone thus far.

Order a racetronix fuel pump wiring harness (it's like $50). Basically it will provide power direct from the alternator to the fuel pump and adds a nice place to splice in the boost-a-pump. Can't beat it for the price. Stock wiring is anemic.
I have a huge thread on my build with all the normal problems, see below.
My recommendations? Install an aftermarket balancer while you're at it. C2501 from Summit is the one I'm using. My stock one fell apart after a few minutes of having the load from a supercharger on it and trust me you don't want to try to replace it after you've already installed the whole kit
I had problems installing the rivnuts (they tell you to basically use a bolt/nut to compress them, which is not really how it's supposed to be done). Harbor freight has a cheap rivet nut tool for like $20, so if I were doing it over again I would have picked one of those up
That's all I can think of right now
I'd think again about meth. You can add it on "top" of whatever your tune is like without meth and just use it for a little extra fuel/octane/air cooling. You don't have to be totally reliant on it.

Pretty much everything Schpenxel said. I'd consider the Meth also. If nothing more than lowering the iat's. To keep the engine safe, the tune will pull quite a bit of timing for the higher iat's and it kills the power. Meth will cure that so you can make good power all the time. His build thread is great for pics and info and I have many suggestions in my thread as well. If you need help, we are here.
schpenxel is all over it, and i'd second considering the meth. a single nozzle kit uses an extremely low amount of meth even if you drive it hard so it's not a big deal and makes the whole setup safer and more reliable. but make sure you have a good tuner, bad tuner can ruin the whole thing no matter how simple.
ECS kit is what i'd buy if doing it over again and have fun!
Haha thanks to you too Doug! I'm sure I'll be messaging you once I get the kit! Can't wait to get that beauty put on. Do you by any chance have an in stock unit Cajun @ BER can send me?!

Always worth asking.
I would talk to Chris@ECS he is super easy going/cool and have had conversations with him a few times and he goes above and beyond. I highly DOUBT youll get a kit express lol.. There is prob a waiting list.. Not to be neg but its like a 3 week wait typically I know my kit took like 3-4 weeks.

We have substantially ramped up production here, so we are actually right on schedule now. So it will come sooner then the two weeks you were quoted. It may even leave tomorrow if we get some parts out of powder coating early enough. Early next week the latest.
We are about 30-60 days away from being ahead of schedule and always having 20+ C6 kits boxed sitting on the shelf waiting for a UPS label. It has taken us years and an incredible amount of money to get to that point, but we are so close now, I can't wait!
Doug is it mine shipped yet? OP im in the same boat expect, i had my 2012 6PSD for 2 days of owning the car before i placed my order! I also plan on doing the install on my own! So far schpenxel has been really helpful and so is Matt at FSP! Now the race begins, who'll gets their numers first. I would try meth if a was you!

Matt has a bunch of kits on order that will be leaving at the same time. PM me your name and I'll send you tracking info.
Just to make things completely clear, the kits leaving today/Monday are black kits. Polished kits take longer and will not be leaving at the same time.

Because the stock ones can't read over about 1psi of boost.
If if it's being tuned in speed density then you'll need a MAP sensor that can read boost. With MAF only it doesn't matter, but I've had better luck in SD
