That's Bad ***! That would probably be mid to low 9's in the 1/4? I don't think I've seen anyone put a Vette with a PD in the 9's have they? Congrats! I'm glad to hear you got that 5.99, it would frustrate the crap out of me to run a 6.0x. Actually I'll be really excited if I can get mine in the 6's at all this summer!

Actually, there’s several people who have put C6s in the 9s with PD blowers, especially if you count the ZR1 guys.
I only know of one other person who’s done it with a Heartbeat blower, and his car was also an A6, which helps big time.
I’m pretty sure that I could’ve turned the wick up on the spray and gotten a 5.8 out of it, but I’m mindful of the stock bottom end.
But yeah, it would’ve been a hell of a lot easier if I had gone the centrifugal route.
Our track is pretty rough too, which was probably why I was tire shake well past the 60’, which the Torque Tamer completely eliminated, I’m happy to say.

Do you know if anyone has done it with an Eforce? Sometimes I wish mine was an automatic. I've never tried racing a manual at the track until last year. It's harder than I thought, it didn't help that the starting line is up hill. It's going to take some practice! I'm hoping for 6.80's this year. We'll see. Hopefully between the headers, gears, and cam I can get there.

Sorry to ressurect an old thread, but I am getting driveline work done and want to buy things that will save me headaches later, getting a new clutch kit installed and carbon driveshaft.

Plan is to get ECS' trans/diff brace and this, but my question is, will this interfere with elite engineering's 1/4 ceramic coat tunnel plate with abs heatshield?

Car is a manual 2000 C5 FRC.

Also I didn't see in the thread, but that rubber tape that you installed, did it help with keeping noise down? While I'm at it, I want to make sure I don't get any kind of noise introduction from things touching or vibrating/resonating. I'm not sure if ECS introduced all these changes in the current design, including that rubber tape.

@DOUG @ ECS can you help out

Hi, The tq tamer will require you to cut the back of the tunnel plate, but they can be used in conjunction with each other. and we do include a vibration dampener with them. We have them in stock ready to ship.

Thanks for your interest!

It's just an insulator that goes on the tq tube. Nothing fancy really but does the job.

Hi Doug!

Is this specifically for drag racing or is it beneficial for road racing/autocross?
