i can tell you 1st hand 6 SPEED CARS HAVE TM !!!
how many times do we have to talk about it??
if your tuner cant figure it out call one that knows what the hell there talking about...
Just felt that i had to give credit where credit is due. I recently bought a bunch of stuff from cartek for my precision red C6, being from bahrain the only way i can get everything installed right is constant customer support, and the guys at cartek were fantastic, Rich helped me constantly with the wiring for the modules so thanks rich, Dave Busch was great as he constantly helped with install advice and actually how to launch the car. With their help the car feels like an eleven sec car, being the proud owner of an eight sec turbo LTI i know what elevens feels like. I managed a 12.3 @ 118 with a 1.9 60'. Thanks guys
Now that's great customer support , a world a way .
Mr. jschindler, I designed the Cartek torque management module and I can tell you that it does not have any effect on timing or air/fuel, it is not a tuning device.
Any "Tuner" that states that there is no torque management in the M6 C6, is wrong.

Is it true the ABS is disabled? Seems like the this would not be too good for autocross/road race guys like me.

Interesting statement, you stated GM's TM is detuning the car between shifts so as to protect the drive train and you are not affecting that tuning.
before TM 11.8 AFTER TM removed 11.3 SAME DAY SAME TRACK !!
WITH IN 1 HOUR !!!!!!!

Brent,
you me and the rest of CARTEK's costomers have seen it first hand and know about it. But the people that said there is no TM is manual corvettte's 7 years ago are so up on their ignorence, that to admit that they are wrong so many years later would make them look like idiots. So they have to continue to sat there is no TM just so they dont looks silly because they have been proven wrong.

Congrats with the car. We are all happy to see you enjoy your new mods!

Wow, what ever happend to the American literacy rate?
I believe Mr. Julio specificaly said that the TM Module does not efect "timing or air/fuel" It simply deisables torque management to allow for a harder shift without cutting back power. It prevents the car from seeing a need to "detune" the car on shifts. It simply tricks the PCM, but it in no way tell them PCM what fuel or timing map to use.
Does anyone know who is qualified to install the Cartek Torque Management unit in Wisconsin? I live in Green Bay. Thanks!
Honestly with the directions included I believe that you can do it yourself. All you need is some some basic wireing tools and your set. Very simple install with, I think, ?8? wires. The directions are a very easy step by step guide.

How many pages of instructions did you receive? The only page I have is a one line diagram showing the connections. I know from reading these post it requires a switch but there is nothing in my information that states that or what type is required.
I attempted to call Dave a month or so back but was unable to get in touch with him due to my schedule. I have yet to attempt the install but if all of the connections are near the ECM it shouldn't be very hard. Where did you mount the switch and is it a SPST switch or a momentary contact?
