guys which intake do i get?
i would like the ram air intake, but if i'm only going to get an extra 1 or 2 HP for cuttikng & drilling then i'll just go with a Normal Intake,
which do you guys think i should go with?

Is this what you wanted to know ^............
Current Ram Air setup is not totally accepted/proven on the C6, although the C5 responds well, due to the restrictive airbox.
Stay with the stock setup for now....it's diffucult to beat perfection......
Who in the hell REALLY knows, but my bet is on Jim Hall............

What he said. Most of the intake stuff from the various manufacturers (Breathless, Halltech, etc.) is still too new, and there just aren't enough of them out there for anyone to be TRULY OBJECTIVE about which one will give the best results.
So far, my $$ is on Halltech, if for no other reason than the lack of cutting, and it's "supposed" imperviousness to sucking WATER into the intake (as opposed to some of the other "ram-air" type designs we're seeing). I'd sacrifice a few ponies, for the ability to drive my car in the rain, wouldn't you?
As has been suggested to you in other threads (since you seem to be driven to ask about EVERY POTENITAL MOD, in it's own thread); try DRIVING the car for awhile, read the forums to see what other folks are doing, learn from the successes/failures of others, before plunking down big $$ on mods that might not be worth the effort (or could cause your ride to self-destruct).
fer'example: Personally, I'm leaning towards: Halltech Intake, ATI Blower, Kooks Headers and the BB Route 66, custom tuning - with "potentially" a cam to round it out (and put me upwards of 575 to 600HP when done). Only problem is, the ATI isn't out yet, and they're still figuring out the computer.
Solution? Drive the HELL out of it now, enjoy it NOW - put away the $$'s for the upgrade(s), and figure, by the time Satans Claws is ready to slide down my chimney in December, they'll have the LS2 all figured out, people will have demonstrated the mods to be worthwhile, and I can put my "package" together with confidence that it'll be a configuration that WORKS, and that my hard-earned $$ will be well spent.
Regards to all,
Rick
edit: speelling
The good news is that it is an increase across the whole curve, and grew to 15.5 RPH gain at 6,600 over the stock with Mangaflows. It sounds great and really feels strong. The Dyno sheet is posted on other threads.

the Halltech installs in 5 Minutes But It's Not a Ramair kit.
The Vortex Looks like a 2 Hour Install & Its a Ramair System BUT I Don't See a Ramair Scoop under the Airbox Like on My 2000 SS Camaro? so how dose it force air in ?
Helltech says 11RWHP & Vortex Says 21HP At Flywheel so its about the same to the Rear Wheels Right?
How much is the halltech?

Has there been any independent verification of these H.P. numbers yet? The numbers sound very promising
I don't have my C6 yet so I can't try them out but it would be interesting to see what other people will experience with these intake systems. Thanks guys and keep up the good work

halltech sounded promising, but i was left with several questions about the guy/product having read the whole placement of the MAF discussion.
and 12 rwhp from an intake alone should cause some suspicion with anyone even moderately versed in modding sports cars.
