idle relearn ecm reset
i hunted and searched but have been unable to find a proven method to set the idle relearn on the c6. disconnecting the battery doesn't seem to reset the ecm. it's my understanding the the idle relearn will let the ecm remap itself to the new air/fuel mix, but i don't know the proper method to get the c6 to do the idle relearn. tried disconnecting the battery and pulling the fuse (engine compartment). let it sit, installed the fuse, connected the battery, started the car, let it get warmed up, let it idle for at least 5 minutes, shut it down for 30 seconds, restart the car. for the next 60 - 100 miles vary the rpms, let it idle, run it at a constant speed, go through all the gears, make some wot runs, drive in traffic (normally). from what i've read but haven't confirmed or know if it's true, the ecm should have remapped itself and set a new idle based up the air/fuel mix. wouldn't this mean i would do this after i installed any type of airflow (includes exhaust) systems. induction, exhaust, rockers, injectors, etc. would all result in changed flow characteristics. which would mean the ecm would need to be set to it's relearn?
