Im hoping to post more good results this weekend on the dyno.I would be very happy to gain 10rwhp.For the average driver you will not feel any mod as a seat in the pants unless its 15 to 20 hp minimum. You might not even get 10hp on an intake on the dyno but at the track you should feel it much more when you take in the cold air at high mph.To bad its 3 months till we get any cooler air.

3 months? We need to get together, so I can have some of what YOU'RE SMOKING. We won't see the temps dip here in SoFla until mid-November, and this summer's looking like it's going to be more of a scorcher that last. I likely won't pull the Harley out of the garage until September at this rate...

You'll have your system tomorrow, just in time for the dyno.
We're getting close to a cold air modification to the shroud, that should allow ambient air in and keep the heat under control. The objective is to deliver cooler ambient air at all speeds. Presently, our system brings the IAT temp down to ambient at road speeds, the stock box is always +10 degrees over stock, so even though it is not a true cold air system, it goes to ambient on the road, the stocker, gives up 1% or 4 HP to heat, since it never goes to ambient.
What we have planned will be pretty sweet, and will not require a new Stinger system. Everyone who owns a Stinger SSM now, will not have to change anything. The Stinger SSM will remain the same. The change will be to something else.

Thanks for getting me the stinger shipped in time for my dyno saturday.Ill keep everyone posted on the results. Halltech certainly does have great customer service which is very important to me.
Any input on how this will do on a car with headers and tuning?
Jim's always been cutting edge with performance parts. His intakes (among other things) have always deliverred.
It will make a big difference. Anytime you can move more air in and out of the motor..its going to make more power. When I purchase my 97 I put straight exhaust on the car and dyno'd it and it made a difference of 13 rwhp on the car. Then with a Black Wing it picked up another 5rwhp. Pretty good little gains considering everything else was stock. My stock 97 with just an air filter and exhaust layed down 315/330 rear hp/tq.
Click on my sig for some early pics of the exhaust.
Never mind the dyno sheet, it is a little more than an air filter and exhaust..but kind of the same idea, it is what you get when you move a lot of air in and out of the motor.
