You expect everyone (scratch that: ANYONE) to think you have a vandal that walked around your car to do damage to your possession and the guy only bends down to key wheels and not your paint? Why if he just wanted to deface your car why not just walk around your car with a key. It would cost more to fix. I'm trying to picture it. Really; he bends down in an uncomfortable position to key your wheels.....DEEP keyed marks....on all four.

I think you do have a claim because it is a dumb azz story that didnt happen. Its easy to just say you don't.

Why not just ask for wheel recomendations and not tell some stupid story about some vandal that didn't like your wheels.

You didnt like them either: "Frankly I haven't been that impressed with them anyway-cloudy look because of clearcoat etc".

You also used a scam buzzword: 'vandalized' and not 'damaged' without expressing any outrage over the issue.--one of the police academy issues we were told to look for.

If you can't handle it and don't like what I'm saying thats ok, I'm very opinionated and probably the least liked member on this board but I just want to tell you one thing: As a statistical inference, everyone thought the same thing....everyone....wonder why?--your first impression is usually right

Default Consider "repairing" the wheels

Consider contacting Wheel Collesion Center in Bath, PA 610-837-8792. They have now repaired two alloy wheels for me (separate occasions -- can't seem to avoid potholes), both of which were bent and cracked. Straightened, welded and refinished! Only took a few days and they looked brand new -- I absolutely could not find where they had been repaired. They are nice people to deal with.....And... the price was a heck of a lot less than new wheels.

Oh and by the way I do know the difference between a curb scrape on the outside of a wheel and these gouges which are on the inside of the wheel surface on three of the four; including those on the non curb side. I have no idea either what motivates such acts. Thanks to those few of you offering sincere advice.
To those of you with the incredible insight concluding an insurance scam from my question: I won't waste my time on this site any longer.
We have taken a couple of sets of polished wheels as cores for our chromed GM wheels. So we can take your damaged polished wheels as cores and exchange them for chromed GM wheels or exchange them for polished wheels. Our chromer repairs all of the wheels anyway.
Geel free to give us a call.
