Is it worth it? Ordering C6 at Noon today. Thanks in advance. Would love to have Z51 but GM constraint may negate getting the car at all this year so we had to drop it.

GET IT....I use mine all the time...Sport when I am driving by myself=90% of the time; Tour when my wife is riding with me (she doesn't complain when I leave it on Sport but she has lower back issues and I soften the ride for her)..

My husband has a 2005 Z51 coupe and I got to test drive one with the F55 package. I ordered the F55. I love being able to have the soft ride when I want it. We took a trip to the mountains of NC and the ride, after several hours, was a bit rough. I think it will be different with the F55 package. I was most impressed. I too have back issues and am glad they offer this choice. You will not be disappointed. Good luck.
My 2006 with F55 and OEM runflats rides smoother, takes bumps better than my 2004 C5 did with stock suspension and GS-D3 non runflats. I'm glad I bought the F55.
Back neck ailments here too. You can't go wrong with the F-55
It will the the most comfortable corvette ride possible and is definitely more usuable than the Z-51 option which is for the track. F-55 is good for the roads that are neglected and torn up full of potholes. It's a more realistic suspension to have if you use it as a daily driver or more importantly if you drive on bad roads.

This is a good quote: "Magnetic Selective Ride package ($1675) is truly the thinking man's alternative when it comes to suspension. In its normal touring mode, it offers a ride as supple as the base car's but with the added benefit of virtually flat cornering thanks to the fast-reacting shocks filled with magnetic-rheological fluid (a magic mix of iron particles and suspension oil) that, when energized by an electromagnet, stiffens the dampers to counteract body roll."
Thanks for the input everybody, especially scrannel for pointing to that thread - F55 it is!
Just remember, the immediate feel between tour and sport seems subtle -- at first. You will notice the difference the most as road surface gets lousy and as you spend more time with the car. I have the F55 and love it.
