Those will work but they're Nittos I'm assuming?
I would go with the 295x35x18 (or even the 315x30s?) BFG DRs instead though maybe, stickier tire.
Either one will likely throw off the speedometer/odometer/shift points (automatic) slightly though because they're slightly shorter overall diameter than the stock wheels/tires.
what are the specs on drag radials being used on the c6?? are 305/35/18's too big???
need traction soon!!
I think that would be HUGE on a vette. But if you want a pair I have a pair with under 500 miles on them off my lightning that I'll sell you for 400 plus shipping.

You might be thinking of the 305x45x18s, those were Nitto's first 18" drag radial and yes they were made specifically for the Lightning, I did see them on a C5 once and yes they were HUGE LOL, like a 29" tall tire.
The 305x35s in question above are within the proper size range.

the nitto's are actually a 305/35/18. the height is almost exact to the stock tire. but is a 305 too wide? and what size width of a rim do i need?

The 305s aren't too wide but really do need at least a 10.5" (11" being ideal I think) rim to work well.
The rear '01 - '04 Z06 rims can hold that 305 and do fit on the C6 but the offset isn't exact so they might stick out slightly.
Again I might sooner recommend the 295x35x18 BFG DRs on the Z06 18x10.5 rims.
i called around to a few different tire wheel shops and all told me that a 305 would fit on a 9.5" wheel??? if this isn't the case, let me know b/c i am ready to jump!
It is not ideal but it will go on I think. I had a 315 on a 10.5 and I know of another member that had a 335 on a 10.5.
I think when my coupe shows up I am just going to buy another set of OEM rear wheels 19" and run a BFGoodrich g-Force T/A KDW 2 295/35/19. It is not a Drag Radial but has 9.3 dry traction rating. I am going to be near stock HP with stock rear so I believe they will work until someone makes a DR.
You guys are talking about an 18 inch rear. If I were going to do that I would just buy another set of OEM front wheels and run a 275/35/18 or 265/40/18 BFG drag radial.
ok, i am ordering 2 18x10.5's oem's and going with the nitto 305/35/18 drag radials. i will let you know how it goes.
Just to make sure I am on the same page here. There are no 18x10.5 OEM C6 wheels. So are you ordering repro's? If you are I would like to advise you to check the weight of these wheels. On the C5 I found them to be unacceptably heavy.

And the 18X10.5 Wheels from a C5 have the wrong offset.

Absolutely NOT. They will go on the rim, the car will go down the road even but it is certainly no where near ideal or truly safe at the upper limits.
Although Nittos do tend to run a little narrower than most other tires I still wouldn't do it.
widen them one inch here and the 305 will fit. It will fit under the car without rubbing as you can clearly see if you jack it up from the lower control arm to maintain the wheel's position in the wheel well.

That is a good idea. I think I may take a 18" OEM front and widen it to 11". I could run a 315 series DR. How much does that cost for two wheels?

Front and rear wheels require different offsets, make sure they add the width on the correct side of the center of the wheel to create the correct rear offset.
