Default Need Help! Engine Problems?

Well I park my car at the GFs house today, take her car out with a few friends, come back and when I start the vette up the yellow engine light is on!! It feels like its idling rough and misfiring I start to drive it home and the light starts flashing but nothing on the DIC still idling and running rough. Any ideas guys? My only mods are halltech and corsa sport, so I wouldnt think it would be a tuning issue???!!!?!?

is the mass air sensor hook up? or maybe you have a vaccum leak after the mass air? of course i am assuming you just put on the intake and this happen only afterwards. good luck.

I am no super mechanic but could it be you just cleaned your air filter and there was too much oil used after? I think over oiling an air filter can cause this.

If the check engine light is on the computer is showing a code. You need a code reader to find exactly what code and what repair is required.

Solid check engine light means get it fixed soon.

Flashing check engine light usually means DO NOT DRIVE THE CAR.

If you have On Star connect thru to them and they'll tell you what the malfunction is (but not the code).

You might try disconnecting the neg. battery cable for a few minutes. when you reconnect it the CEL sometimes disappears.

Default Lean codes

Halltech stingers sometimes through lean codes at idle, banks 1&2. Had a lean code on mine until retunning.

The codes for intake or exhaust are usually a solid CEL, the flashing CEL is usually a major problem.

It could take a little while for enough oil to accumulate on the MAF, Maybe, Hopefully .

well apperently it was my fault when I put my DSOM Fuel Rail Covers onthey must have snagged one of the wires and pulled it out by the roots causing the cylinder to misfire, needless to say I denied all responsibility and got it covered under warrenty

I did exactly the same thing. Mine was on the driver's side where I was so careful not to scratch the new painted cover!
