Is there a sound difference with the headers if you are running Bullet exhaust? ( I know it may be a dumb question but I want to see what people that have this setup say)

How much LOUDER is your car at idle and during normal street driving? I assume at WOT it wails !!!
I'm debating getting headers, and afraid its going to be too loud, for me. I had Corsa Pace Car on my C5...they were a sweet sound. I could live with 5% lounder, not much more. Whats you experience with the sound and the volume of sound?

Fred, are you happy with the LG's. Are they much LOUDER than stock, in the cabin and from outside? What mufflers do you do you have? I was quoted $1750 shipped from LG yesterday.

Your going to spend $400 more, and lose at least $200 on selling the Kooks.

fredgpowell, if he sells them, buy them.
Thanks but I have the FAST already. I am actually doing the swap due to wanting to do a dyno comparrison to put the 2 camps to bed already. I am tired of how the sworn fans of each seem to beleive their header is the best. 3 pulls will be made with my Kooks....no other changes and same day will be the Lg's for 3 pulls. The hands down comments will be ended after that. I don't care about 1/4 mile only performance since I use my far more in the low rpm then high rpm so I think I will have one of two sets of headers for sale shortly. I don't care which.

The 1/4 mile guys could care less about off idle TQ but I do. The swap will be about 500 bucks more than I will get for the Kooks. Its my money and I'm bored.

Same dyno....same day...same other mods.

LG's was an easy install. Go through the bottom. You do not need to remove anything accept the old exhaust manifolds, piping back to the mufflers, and the spark plug wires! It took longer to route the O2 sensor wires correctly than to install the headers with X-pipe!

The guys at the LG Motorsport shop are extremely helpful/knowlegable if you need to call them for any reason. Customer service is hard to come by these days. I never write reviews or respond regarding anything I purchase, however, I was impressed with this companies product and service.

The low-end/mid range torque improves dramatically. Larry and crew are winning races so that must say something regarding performance!

The car is louder but definately not to loud, no drone. A little hard to position the clamps so they don't hang down or vibrate/rub against anything (which can set-off knock sensors). Sounds friggen cool though!! Best money I spent on mods so far....

The only problem is, now no one around town wants to race!!!

what mufflers are you running with the LG's.
Thanks for your post I was wondering how loud they are and you seem to be happy with the louder sound. Right?

Speaking of spark plugs...anyone have any recommenations over the 100K mile stock plugs? What do you gap them at if you have headers, gap if you don't have headers?

I am going to run the stock exhaust. I cannot see myself paying that much money for something that i already have and the power increase is ot worth it. I will have long tubes and intake and when warrenty runs out supercharger. Nuff said

Spinmonster, you da man! I will be very interested to see the results. Great idea doing 3 dyno pulls each since that should produce a good average for each header. My bet is that the two headers will be within 5-7 hp and tq of each other. I have no dog in this fight, just very interested if two quality headers will be any different then each other.

When do you think you'll be able to do this? Its a great time of the year to do it too since there shouldn't be a huge temp change between the pulls.

You still need to buy midpipes ($300) then cats ($300) and O2 extenders ($90)
