you might have to sand down the pads from rubbing.

Use the Performance Friction carbon metallic pads, or the Z rated pads. We carry those.

hey guys is it a good idea to put on the ceramic pads, will the braking decrease on my 05' z51 car? I hate the squeal and the brake dust just plain sucks on this car! Almost like driving a Mercedes Benz again, and I thought that car had really bad brake dust until owning the Vette! The squeal is bad when hot.

Go back to your dealer for the base pad replacements, there's even a TSB on this one. I'm one happy camper now.

We just put this copper grease thing on the back side of the brake pads, and it stopped. I cannot understand why putting it on the rear side makes it any better, as its the front side that has the contact but this friend of mine is a good mechanic so i trusted him and tried. didnt charge anything anyway He also told me to avoid spraying it with a high pressure washer when washing the car to keep the grease there.

Who knows but hey it doesnt squeel anymore.

if you do some hard stops from high speed the squeal will go away, i hear after 6-7k miles the dust will go away...i got the same issue but i only have 800 miles so far.
