If you have had the car less than 1 year I would take it back to the dealer you purchased it from. They should replace it for free.

Construction around my house. I seem to pick up screws and nails dropped in the street.

Tire manufacturers don't want the liability and they want to sell tires-what do you expect them to say? A simple hole with only minor damage to the tire requires a repair that will hold pressure-that's all.

Same here. I will add to that by saying I have over 300,000 miles total on all the Vettes that I've owned. Never did anything but plug them. If the hole is too big to plug, you need a new tire. I've roadraced on tires with plugs and never had a problem. To each his own. If it makes you feel better, patch it.

Not to argue but that is exactly the point of this post-what is correct?
Obviously you think the only 'correct' repair is a patch. I don't agree.

Understand; I think there is a law that contractors have to throw a bucket of nails on the road at every construction site. Sorry about your experience.

Could have been worse if I didn't have runflats. With all but one flat I was able to limp to a tire store for repairs. The other flat, I had a guy do a simple plug from the outside, just to get me home, about 30 miles. I probably could've carefully driven home.
