Default ls7 vs ls2 block

Maybe old news here, but I didnt know until today they are the same exact block , minus the drilled holes for the DOD and the 7.0 stamp... of course the sleeves are different (larger bore...grey iron no less)creating almost no space between cylinders. Hate to be the guy that bought the ls7 thinking they got something real special strength wise.

Could you somehow mod the ls2 to an ls7 then :P? Saw that MTI and LPE build ls2 427's.
