Default Which Oil Filter?

I looked all over for this and then decided to post...the answer is probably "owner preference" but I had to ask: Is there a winning oil filter out ther for the C6's? I'm gonna do mine this weekend and wondered what other enthusiasts have gravitated towards. Mobil 1? Bosch? Fram? ACDelco? Amsoil? Other?

If you decide to go with the new AMSOIL Ea Oil Filter, the correct part for the LS2 is EAO32.

Ordering info in my sig.

That stupid amsoil filter has been acquired, disassembled, and awaiting measurements for 15 years.

That's how long ago I saw that stupid site.

It should be illegal to post such ancient nonsense on the internet.

K&N and Mobile1 filters are the best. They are made by the same Co. The K&N has a nut on the bottom for easy removal.

I like filters with nuts - K&N

The same company that makes Wallyworld's house brand.

The term "Best" may mean different things for different people. Someone found a website that discussed different filters and actually tested the flow rates. It turned out that some filters that did a very good job of filtering, also had lower flow rates. That could cause filter bypassing at higher RPM, especially if you're a bad boy and rev your engine before the oil is warmed up.

Now, can someone post a link to the website so we can all read it?

I'm using the AC Delco Ultra Guard UPF44.
It filters down to 8-10 microns (I think Mobil One filters to 10-12 microns).
Either is fine, and substanially better than the stock filter which filters to perhaps 25 microns.
I bought a case (6) from Bean's.

Kind of difficult to be discussing best oil filters without including Amsoil.

Definitely the K&N or the Amsoil filter. Stay away from the Mobil 1 filter, it's too restrictive, so it would be constantly going into bypass mode if you like to drive hard.

I like to stuff a sock up there, preferably striped, then I cover it with high temp ziplock. Works great.

Both Amsoil and K&N use synthetic material as opposed to just a paper filter. A good oil filter is just as important as a good quality oil. The contaminated oil won't do your car much good. I always go with either Amsoil or K&N.

That's nice, but we're talking oil filtration here.

I am going to use this Ultra Filter on my SC402 . heres a pic of mine taken apart and a link to their site. What do you guys think about their claims. It definitely looks like it will flow and filter better than a paper filter, I don't know about their HP claims though.
