5 Micron Material Oil is 12 Microns; it can’t go through a 5 micron material. *Oil flows BY, NOT THROUGH
Perhaps they don't know the diference between a particulate and a fluid. I wouldn't trust these putz's to filter my lawnmower oil.
And just because someone trusts a manufacturer's product on their $20,000 motor, or their $50,000 motor, that really doesn't prove anything. This may be a good product, but their illiterate claims would cause me to pass.
This reminds me of the posts where someone has the audacity to question Redline fluids or Amsoil ....... man if you really want to **** off a Corvette owner, just question their use of a product that costs a lot more than the equivalent "off the shelf" product .
I have been using Amsoil filters on my C5 and now my '06. I would never be able to discern any benefits or drawbacks. I feel confident relying on the Amsoil reputation, however.
I'm using the AC Delco Ultra Guard UPF44.
It filters down to 8-10 microns (I think Mobil One filters to 10-12 microns).
Either is fine, and substanially better than the stock filter which filters to perhaps 25 microns.
I bought a case (6) from Bean's.
