I like the mid and high range gains with my cam. Certainly not a cheater but good torque throughout the range.

I know this is a blower cam (and will be used in a blower application). Can you easily expect any gains from a CAM like this over the stock cam with a blower of course? Or would I see minimal gains for the cost of the cam, retainers, etc?

99-TR-BLOWR-CAM Thunder Racing Custom "Blower" Camshaft - 214/230 .601/.575 117 LSA. Off Idle-6800 RPM Power Band. Broad power range. Decreased valve overlap for forced induction applications. Stock like idle. Minor tuning required. Due to the fast ramp rate of this camshaft, the use of 1.8 rockers is not recommended. Double valve springs and titanium retainers required for this cam.

[QUOTE=Berman]wtf is the point of that huge split on the ls2? the ls2 has great exhaust ports. wouldn't a 220/220 at 117LSA idle just as well?

because (215+232)/2 = 223.5. unless i'm wrong, a 223/223 should idle roughly like a 215/232 would.

btw for whoever was talking about the cheater cam not making torque ... that's due to the 117 LSA. if the LSA were down to 112 or 111, the car would make a ton more low end, but wouldn't idle like glass anymore.[/QU

Ligenfelter has a similar spilt on their GT2 cam 215/231 with a .631/.644lift 114 Lsa so whats the difference between this type of cam with a wide duration split and higher lift vs a 224/228/.581/.588 114lsa These cams seem to make similar power with intake heads exhaust mods. Please educate the lesser fortunate!!

IMHO< you should see good gains with this cam, even NA. The much higher lift will give you nice power, but may not be as effective with stock heads, which tend to stall out around .550". With a blower, you don't need near as much intake duration to fill the cylinder, and the boost should overcome much of the stock head's flow limitations.
