My friend opened my C6 the other day, it's been sitting for 4 days, the key fob was in my house 60 ft away. I had it programmed to lock when leaving. How can I change this? I opened it tonight myself, when I had been away for 3 hours, and no key fob. Is there something the dealer can do? Or do I have to push lock always on the key fob when I walk away ?

I would first start by going through the "Options" on your car first. Start the car and hit "Options" and take your time to go through all the settings to make sure they are set the way you would like. If there is still something not right, a trip to the dealer will be in order.

Did it in fact "beep" when you walked away ("lock on leaving")? Test that again to be sure it's actually locking or go thru the "Options" menu on the DIC to reset. Read thru the Owner's Manual for the various options available.
There are 3 different options for Passive Door Locking: OFF (default), SILENT, and HORN. If you choose SILENT, I'd also set another option, Flash at Lock.
It's quite likely you've got something programmed incorrectly and the doors are not locking for that reason.
Additionally, there are two drivers settings to program and each associated to one FOB, which is numbered on the back of the FOB. If you programmed Driver/FOB 1 to lock on exit that does not mean you programmed Driver/FOB 2. You may have used the "other" one last time you exited the car. I had a similar instance with "easy exit" not engaging but I was using the "other" FOB.
