Default head gaskets - compression ratio

anyone know if thinner/aftermarket performance head gaskets are avaliable for the corvette's ls2 ?

wouldn't this be a pretty easy way to bump up the compression ratio? currently it's a three fuel grade vehicle (low, mid, and high octane). if the compression ratio is bumped up, wouldn't it become a mid or high octane only vehicle? wouldn't the added performance justify the cost of the fuel most of us already use? would the computer be able to self-adjust for the change?

I think the stocker is .056... I'm running .040 cometic with the AFR 205 heads to achieve 11:1

do you think having the existing heads and intake ported and polished with the thinner gasket would be worth the cost ?
